The Sr. Manager of Logistics is responsible for driving effective and efficient product movement in the supply chain, through development and ownership of the Logistics Long Range Plan, functional projects and initiatives, robust data analytics and reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature of the level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and Maintain Long term Partnership with Small Parcel, LTL, Customs Brokers and FT providers. This will include negotiating rate reductions and service expectations.
- Monitor specific carrier performance measurement systems including on time delivery and carrier scorecards for Carriers supporting all inbound and outbound logistics.
- Manage and resolve exceptions for any in transit or unassigned shipment.
- Create and implement a warehouse safety program.
- Create and manage departmental budget and freight cost as well as align department goals and KPIs with the needs of the overall Company direction.
- Determine Capital expenditures needed for Warehouse Operations.
- Oversee the development and implementation of plans and processes required to meet customer satisfaction goals.
- Meet with the internal team daily for status updates and addressing areas of concern and problem solve.
- Maintain department metrics, reports, process documentation, and other records in support of a continuous improvement.
- Train department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding logistics processes and procedures.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
INTERACTION
This position will interact closely with the Sr. VP of Production and Logistics, Director of Production and Logistics, Warehouse Manager and PM Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Manager of Logistics will oversee the Warehouse Manager and Logistics Coordinators.
EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree and five to 10 years' related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
