Retail Sales Associate

Job Description
We are looking for a Retail Sales Representative to provide excellent customer service for our business. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. Computer skills are important in this position, and accurate typing is required. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services, and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability.

This position is a permanent, part-time position, with the possibility of becoming full-time.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers
• Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing, sales, and service)
• Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
• Conduct print price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
• Up-sell and cross-sell products
• Ensure the retail cabinet is fully stocked
• Coordinate with the Store Manager and team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
• Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
• Stay up-to-date with new products/services
• Operate a web-based point of sale and shipping software
• Assist in preparing print products for customers
• Package and ship customer packages

Skills/Abilities

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or similar role
• Understanding of the retail sales process
• Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
• Basic typing, Internet, and math skills
• Computer use of Microsoft and Adobe Creative Cloud products
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $13.00 per hour

Estimated hours: 15 – 20 per week
