Retail Associate – The UPS Store

The Retail Associate plays a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and operational excellence. As part of the UPS Store team, you will assist customers with shipping, printing, and other retail services while managing a variety of office equipment and offering expert advice on products and services. Weekly schedule will be as follows:

Monday 10:00a - 6:10p

Tuesday 10:00a - 6:10p

1 additional weekday 10:00am to 6:10pm

Saturday 11:00a - 5:00p

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone, addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
• Listen actively to customer needs and offer tailored solutions for shipping, packaging, and printing services.
• Take initiative to learn and stay updated on all store products and services, including shipping options, printing, and mailbox services.
• Sort, distribute, and manage mail and packages for mailbox customers.
• Perform printing services such as copying, laminating, binding, and shredding, ensuring high-quality results.
• Expertly operate copiers, fax machines, laminating machines, binding equipment, and other store devices.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring a safe and professional work environment.
• Support the team with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Previous retail or customer service experience (strongly preferred).
• Proficient in using computers and software, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office (required) and Adobe Suites (preferred).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to spelling, grammar, and basic math.
• Excellent phone etiquette and problem-solving abilities.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle responsibilities independently.
• Must be capable of lifting 40 pounds.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Professional demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 31 per week

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)
• Continuous retail: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Notary Public (Preferred)
