Customer Service Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and professional manner. This role requires strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle various customer inquiries effectively.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries in person or over the phone.
• Process transactions accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed.
• Provide product demonstrations and educate customers about product features and benefits.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing and promotions.
• Maintain knowledge of grocery store products and services to provide informed recommendations.
• Address customer complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, aiming for resolution.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall customer experience.
• Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash handling practices and retail math is advantageous.
• Experience in a grocery store setting is a plus but not required.
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for this role.
• Basic math skills are necessary for processing transactions accurately.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
