Job Summary:
We are seeking a Full-Time Center Associate to join our team at The UPS Store Howard Beach #6495 located in Queens, New York. This is a full-time individual contributor role with a competitive salary and benefits package. As a Center Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, performing various retail and administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $17 to $18 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes retirement savings plan, paid time off, bonuses and opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their shipping and printing needs
- Operate various office equipment including printers, copiers, and computers to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Package and label items for shipping and maintain proper inventory of shipping supplies
- Accept payments and provide accurate change to customers
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, filing, and completing paperwork
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Continuously seek to improve processes and procedures to enhance overall store efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior customer service experience in a retail setting preferred
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate various software programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
- Flexible schedule including availability to work weekends and evenings
- Must be able to pass a background check
