We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for selling services, merchandise, and many other responsibilities in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue. Primary location needing filled is our Chino Valley location.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and identify customer needs
- Explain products and services to customers
- Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
- Enter and process customer orders
- Estimate and pack customers items for shipping
- Fax, copy, and other light duty office work
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
The UPS Stores in Prescott, Prescott Valley & Chino Valley are in need of an awesome Sales Associate, we are ready to hire you to help us! We prefer you have a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a position with direct customer contact such as retail or restaurant industries. Your own reliable transportation is required as you may be asked to work at any of 4 locations, based on scheduling needs. You must be available to work Monday through Friday 8am - 6:30pm , Saturdays 9am - 3pm & Sundays 10am - 3pm.
All applicants must successfully pass a background screening before being considered for permanent employment. Must have transportation, as you may need to fill in at a different store on occasion.
Minimum Job Requirements:1 year minimum recent experience working directly with the public (required) Excellent Customer Service with a positive attitude - Negative attitudes need not apply (required) You must be available to work Monday through Friday 8am - 6:30pm , Saturdays 9am - 3pm & Sundays 10am - 3pm. Overtime may also be required during the Holiday season.
Ability to effectively communicate with the general public (required) Excellent organizational skills with special attention paid to details (required) Ability to follow basic instructions (required) Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. (required) Ability to stand for extended periods of time (required) Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word & Excel (preferred) Basic knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems (preferred) Basic knowledge of fax and copy machines (preferred)
