Assistant Manager
Duties:
- Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the store
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new employees
- Train and develop new and existing staff members on company policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and proper organization
- Implement effective strategies for inventory control, including regular stock checks and replenishment orders
- Assist in creating and implementing training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills by effectively managing a team of employees
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data, track performance, and make informed decisions
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and upper management
- Ensure store cleanliness and organization at all times
- Maintain phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or calls
Skills:
- Proficient in using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately
- Strong interviewing skills to assess potential candidates for employment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and experience in managing stock levels
- Experience in developing training programs to enhance employee performance and productivity
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in retail math calculations, including sales analysis and forecasting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to stock shelves and merchandise products effectively
- Demonstrates phone etiquette when interacting with customers or handling inquiries
