Job Purpose
As a Print Design Associate with Retail Customer Service responsibilities, you will be integral in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with sales and services related to print, packaging, and shipping. You will support graphic design tasks, including creating designs based on customer needs and preparing digital files for production. In this dual role, you will help deliver a positive experience to clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that the store environment remains clean, organized, and inviting. Additionally, you will be expected to communicate effectively about the products and services offered, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service. To ensure success as a print designer, you should have a good understanding of color calibration and technical printing standards. A skilled print designer should have a keen eye for detail and be able to create designs for a variety of printed mediums. Your ability to manage both customer interactions and creative design work will be key to the success of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Print Design Responsibilities:
- Collaborating and brainstorming with the creative team to define design briefs and requirements.
- Researching concepts, designs, reference material, and similar work.
- Rendering and presenting design mockups for revision and feedback.
- Implementing feedback revision and creating final designs for printing.
- Reviewing and proofreading designs to ensure that copy, layout, and dimensions are print-ready.
- Overseeing the printing process to ensure color quality and consistency.
- Managing the timelines and workflow of print design projects.
- Communicating updates, feedback, and issues with the clients, managers, and the creative team.
- Maintaining the brand's consistency across all designs and printed materials.
- Keeping up to date with the latest design trends, techniques, and printing standards.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, respond to inquiries, and enhance engagement with merchandise to provide outstanding customer service.
- Facilitate the sale of a wide range of products and services, including but not limited to printing, shipping, and packaging supplies, while promoting overall store offerings.
- Operate cash registers, manage financial transactions, and ensure cash drawers are balanced at the end of each shift.
- Meet and exceed established store sales goals and objectives.
- Direct customers to appropriate merchandise and assist with locating products within the store.
- Assess customer needs through proactive engagement and provide personalized service to ensure satisfaction.
- Identify and prioritize Corporate Retail Service (CRS) clients, offering tailored services and promoting our products and services to meet their needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and serviceable store environment, ensuring that it meets company standards at all times.
- Acknowledge all customers upon entry, ask questions to identify their needs, and respond with appropriate actions. This includes assisting with shipping, drop-off services, packaging, mailbox services, faxing, email, printing services, and any other customer requests.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service in all interactions, contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the store.

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
· : High School / G.E.D. required; Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Business, Management, Printing Technology or related is preferred.
· : One to three years in producing a range of printed materials including brochures, flyers, banners, business cards, catalogs, textile prints, and/or magazine designs.

o Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
o Must possess experience in Microsoft Office software and the ability to learn other software programs currently in use

Working conditions

· May include evening, weekend work and/or nontraditional work schedule.
Physical requirements
· May involve lifting up to 50 pounds.
· Will involve standing for extended periods of time, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping and going up and down stairs in the performance of daily activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
