Job Summary
The downtown Kansas City The UPS Store is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and a keen ability to engage with customers to promote our products. This location is locally owned and operated, and committed to wage and skill advancement. Current needed hours are 12PM - 7:15PM Monday - Friday.

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering product recommendations.
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling, ensuring accurate transactions at the cash register or POS system.
- Upsell products by identifying opportunities to introduce additional items that complement customer purchases.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring merchandise is well-displayed and stocked.
Qualifications
- Bilingual candidates are preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and the ability to engage with customers positively.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience with cash registers or POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Previous experience in retail or sales is beneficial, particularly in upselling techniques and product demonstrations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
