The UPS Store Center Associate

Job Summary
The UPS Store located in the Loews Kansas City Hotel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and a keen ability to engage with customers to promote our products. This location is locally owned and operated, and committed to wage and skill advancement. This position has fixed hours on a compressed schedule: Wednesday 12-6P, Thursday and Friday 730A-630P and Saturday 10A-4P.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering product recommendations.
• Utilize basic math skills for cash handling, ensuring accurate transactions at the cash register or POS system.
• Upsell products by identifying opportunities to introduce additional items that complement customer purchases.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring merchandise is well-displayed and stocked.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move boxes weighing more than 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Bilingual candidates are preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and the ability to engage with customers positively.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Experience with cash registers or POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
• Previous experience in retail or sales is beneficial, particularly in upselling techniques and product demonstrations.
