Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns promptly.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain a well-organized sales floor by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are easily accessible.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking merchandise as needed.
- Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide change accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales tracking.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management.
- Ability to operate POS systems efficiently.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new products and sales techniques.
- Previous experience supervising staff is a plus but not mandatory.
