Who You Are:
As a Logistics Warehouse Associate in the Logistics department, you will work alongside your peers to move kitted jobs and supplies throughout the facility and over the road to our other campus. You will also pick and restock production supplies and raw materials to help our fabricators and craftsmen meet production demands.
A Day in the Life:
- Picking and delivering internal kits, finished goods, raw materials and supplies to designated locations in the production area and between campuses.
- Staging and organizing jobs and materials for transport inside our production area and preparing carts for transport to and from our second campus.
- Operating powered equipment like a box truck, tugger carts, picking vehicles, pallet jacks, and carts to move boxes and materials
- Frequently reviewing and fulfilling electronic list of part shortages and supplies needed in Production.
- Evaluating stock levels of supplies in satellite locations ensuring stock is available for daily use.
- Assisting Receiving Department with in-bound shipments by opening boxes, counting/inspecting contents and putting away in appropriate stock location
- Using the MRP system and hand-held scanners for all inventory-related transactions
- Participating in general shop cleaning and organization: sort inventory, put stock away, packaging trash removal, recycling, etc.
- Assisting with 5S and shop projects requiring maintenance, assembly, disposal, facility improvements, and movement of materials
What Will Set You Up for Success:
- You have 2 years in transportation, inventory, or warehousing experience.
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
- You are comfortable operating warehouse equipment, and/or you are willing to be trained to do so.
- You are a flexible team player, and you are comfortable tackling daily tasks collaboratively.
- You have a problem-solving mindset, and you are willing to contribute to continual process improvement.
- You have the ability and desire to move around all day to accomplish your tasks and remain active throughout the day.
- You are self-motivated and able to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
- You have moderate computer skills (data entry, reporting, Outlook, MRP/inventory system).
- You prioritize your safety and the safety of those around you when operating production related machinery, company vehicles, and lifts.
- You can manage your time well and anticipate what might be needed for the success of your team and internal customers.
Earnings
Starting Logistics Associates begin at $20.00/hour!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, several times a day
- Ability to walk long distances and to pull a self-propelled tugger. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate a forklift and drive a box truck or be trained to do so.
