Our Shift Leader (must be at least 21 years of age) contributes to the success of the urban Farmhouse market & café by ensuring the highest quality store operations are maintained during their shift. The Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring the Mission of the urban Farmhouse is modeled and upheld always for Farmhands and customers. This position also performs additional responsibilities needed to help the boss with daily operating procedures. Flexible Part-Time and Full-Time Hours are available. Additional Benefits include Paid Breaks, Uniform Allowance, Free Meals and Shared Tip Pool (approximately $8-$10 per hour).

Primary Responsibilities:

§ Warmly welcomes and connects with every customer.

§ Discovers customers needs and appropriately suggests product offerings to enhance service.

§ Offers customers demonstrations and available samples.

§ Creates opportunities for customers to interact with products.

§ Responds to customers and sincerely thanks every customer.

§ Prepares beverages, sandwiches, and salads to standard.

§ Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

§ Follows and directs staff members to follow policies and procedures for each position for efficient operational flow.

§ Follows and directs staff members to follow established procedures for inventory management, including, merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.

§ Performs and directs staff members to complete assigned cleaning tasks in accordance with established cleaning standards.

§ Performs special projects to assist in store operations.

§ Assists with labor costs by adjusting and optimizing staffing hours.

§ Follows cash handling procedures and POS policies.

§ Assists Manager with banking responsibilities.

§ Records and is accountable for all funds while running a shift.

§ Ensures staff members adhere to the meal and rest break policy.

§ Demonstrates and ensures all Farmhouse policies and procedures are followed.

§ Provides absolute unflagging attention to customer service and satisfaction, including speed of service, handling complaints and speedy response to requests.

Requirements:

§ 1 to 2 years retail or hospitality experience.

§ Passion for people, healthy food, and a healthy lifestyle.

§ Self-motivated, hardworking and results oriented.

§ Ability to function independently.

§ Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with strong multi-tasking skills.

§ Familiarity with customer service practices and procedures.

§ Enthusiastic and friendly personality.

§ Ability to manage correctly confidential and sensitive information.

Education:

§ College degree in business or a closely related field may substitute for a portion of the required experience.

§ High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

§ Ability to perform the following tasks at various times up to 90% of time: Bending and twisting, carrying, climbing, computer usage including equipment necessary for product preparation, POS and other special equipment, crawling, handling, kneeling, lifting, pushing and pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking and stooping.

Pay: From $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
