Liberty Partnership Program Director
The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) is part of the Urban Scholars program whose mission is to provide participants with the support to become the leaders of tomorrow. Located in the School of Education at The City College of New York, LPP partners with four schools in the Harlem area to support academic and social needs of students at Mott Hall High School, A. Philip Randolph, Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem, Urban Assembly School of Global Commerce. As a New York State Education Department grant-funded initiative, the Liberty Partnerships Program is a comprehensive academic excellence program targeted at risk middle and high school students.
The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) seeks to hire a Director who will serve as the chief administrative agent for the grant, which is comprised of an in-school, out of school and summer program designed to increase high school graduation rates and promote college readiness. The Director will build partnerships and coordinate services within Urban Scholars and external stakeholders to support and enhance the program. This position will oversee the effective implementation of programs and key partnerships that serve students and meet the requirements set forth in the grant. The director will perform regular audits of sub-agencies to ensure that they are following grant guidelines and have written procedures in place to assure compliance with NYSED regulations governing the LPP program.
Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Management, Counseling or related field.
Experience Required: Two years of experience in the administration of grant-funded programs and career development that serve at risk youth and underrepresented populations. Supervisory experience and proven ability to use judgment and discretion in the handling of sensitive and /or confidential matters. Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Experience in the administration of grant-funded and supplemental education programs.
· Experience with programs focusing on dropout prevention and career development.
· Knowledge of high school/college collaborative programming.
· Ability to develop corporate partnerships with the focus on student internship and career development programs
· Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel, co- workers, all college employees and community stakeholders.
· Ability to manage multiple projects.
· Travel required to partner high schools and community-based partners.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
