Compass Oncology is seeking a Director of Pharmacy and Admixture Services to lead the development and implementation of policies and strategic goals for pharmacy services across both retail and clinic locations, in collaboration with practice leadership. This role will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, establish and track performance metrics, and create policies, procedures, and standing orders for the department. Additionally, the Pharmacy Services Director will oversee pharmaceutical contract negotiations and set standards for these agreements.

Salary Range: $149,114.27- $253,468.74 USD salaried

- Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise as well as internal employee equity considerations.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operations & Compliance: Oversees daily pharmacy and admixture services, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Financial & Strategic Oversight: Manages budgets, monitors financial performance, and leads strategic planning to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
- Clinical Leadership: Develops and implements clinical pharmacy initiatives, oversees drug utilization, and ensures optimal patient outcomes.
- Team Management & Development: Provides leadership to pharmacy managers, clinical pharmacists, and technicians, supporting recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Quality & Policy Development: Establishes quality assurance processes, ensures best practices, and collaborates on policy development for pharmacy and admixture services.
- Continuous Improvement & Research: Drives initiatives for improved pharmaceutical care, monitors compliance with drug contracts, and oversees inventory and clinical trials.
- Coordination & Support: Manages staff coverage, provides pharmacist support as needed, oversees documentation, and evaluates adverse drug reactions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution; master’s degree or PharmD preferred.
- Minimum seven years of pharmacy experience, with at least five years of pharmacy management experience, preferably in an outpatient setting, including leadership and people management.
- Three years of oncology pharmacy experience.
- Board certification in oncology preferred, or eligibility to obtain certification within 2 years of hire. (Other specialty certifications will be considered.)
- Experience implementing and managing USP standards (USP 797 and 800).
- Eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in Oregon and Washington.
