Overview
Blue Ridge Cancer Care-Blacksburg is currently recruiting for a Board Certified/Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist. Our network of cancer care providers consists of 11 cancer centers strategically located throughout Southwestern Virginia and Eastern West Virginia. This opportunity is the result of continued growth in the New River Valley area. The position is based in Blacksburg with the opportunity to also see patients at other nearby practice locations. Our cancer center in Blacksburg is home to five Hematologists/Oncologists with a robust research program that currently includes phase 1, 2 and 3 clinical trials. The physician who joins this practice will have faculty opportunities locally at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and/or the Virginia Tech - Carilion School of Medicine, while maintaining a full private practice in one of the most desirable locations in the state of Virginia.
Located in the Blue Ridge mountains, the New River Valley provides a picturesque setting for its 180,000 residents. Home to Virginia Tech, a major research university, Blacksburg enjoys an abundance of cultural, outdoor and collegiate sports activities. Only 40 minutes from Roanoke, it is a destination for weekend events and festivals. The New River Valley is a hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, fishing and rafting.
