Overview
Southern Cancer Center is looking to add a Hematologist/Oncologist to their busy practice serving the North Alabama and Tennessee Valley market. This practice currently consists of three full time Hematology Oncology physicians. This cancer center is entering its 17th year of service to the community and has recently become a member of The US Oncology Network, the largest network of privately held cancer centers in the United States.
Huntsville, known as “Rocket City,” for its Marshall Space Center and for being home to the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command Center at Redstone Arsenal, is the 4th largest city in Alabama with a metro area close to 500,000 residents. It is also a hub for the biotech industry with over 25 firms calling Huntsville home. Huntsville is served by an international airport with five commercial carriers flying to many major hubs throughout the country. Huntsville is two hours south of Nashville and an hour and a half north of Birmingham. The area boasts a strong local economy and local schools and has a low cost of living.
