Job Title
Our team at Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in an oncology setting.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Collects and records nursing assessment and interventions.
- Reviews and reports the results of health status assessments and physical examinations, pertinent laboratory data, radiographic data, and psychosocial assessments of assigned patients to providers.
- Teach patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and medications.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
Key Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.

Responsibilities
- Manage symptoms, toxicities, and health abnormalities related to intense high-dose therapy, stem cell rescue, and rehabilitation following rescue in collaboration with transplant physicians and supervisors.
- Report data to the company for transplant-related registries and appropriate bodies.
- Program portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provide instruction to patients and/or caregivers in the use of the pump at home.
