SAHTP, LLC is a growing organization dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services. As we expand across multiple states, we seek a detail-oriented Multistate Compliance Manager to oversee tax filings, business registrations, and regulatory compliance in the states where we operate.
Position Overview
The Multistate Compliance Manager will ensure that our company remains compliant with tax regulations, business registrations, and licensing requirements across multiple states. This role is ideal for someone with experience in tax compliance, state filings, and regulatory management.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Filings
- Manage and file state and local taxes (income tax, sales tax, franchise tax, etc.).
- Ensure timely tax payments and compliance with state tax laws.
- Work with tax agencies to resolve audits and disputes.
- Ensure the company is registered and in good standing in each state where we operate.
- Handle foreign qualifications, business licenses, and annual reports.
- Track renewal deadlines and maintain compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax and unemployment tax registrations.
- Monitor state-specific employment laws affecting business operations.
- Stay updated on state regulations that impact our business.
- Work with legal and finance teams to mitigate compliance risks.
- Implement internal policies to ensure continued compliance.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
3 years of experience in multistate tax compliance, business registration, or regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge of state and local tax laws, payroll tax regulations, and business licensing.
Experience working with tax agencies and resolving compliance issues.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, EA, or similar tax certification (a plus but not required).
Experience in the healthcare or professional services industry.
Knowledge of HR compliance related to multistate payroll taxes.
