About The UVU Review
Utah Valley University’s Independent Student News Source — Since 1962
The UVU Review is your student-produced source of news and information. From start to finish, all content on our website, printed pages, social media, broadcast segments, podcasts, and advertising channels is created and presented by our all-UVU student news team.
Our news producers and reporters choose, research, write, and produce every story. They shoot the photos, write scripts, edit video and audio, design pages, manage digital strategy, and copyedit content — gaining hands-on experience across every area of modern media production.
We believe students learn best when their triumphs — and their mistakes — are truly their own. That’s why we empower our team with full creative ownership and real leadership opportunities in a fast-paced, collaborative newsroom environment.
The UVU Review offers over 30 scholarship positions each year, along with flexible opportunities for internship credit, volunteer roles, and portfolio development.
👉 All scholarship roles require full-time enrollment, a 2.5 minimum GPA, and a strong commitment to the team.
Team membership is open to all UVU students in good standing, and applications can be completed online.
