The Valley Athletic Club; a family friendly 180,000 square foot health and fitness facility offering indoor & outdoor pools, indoor & outdoor tennis, indoor & outdoor pickleball courts, racquetball courts, gymnasiums, workout areas, group fitness classes, children’s activity center, personal training w/ private training studios, pilates apparatus, steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzis & more. Schedule:
- Mon any hours between 6am - 6pm
- Tue any hours between 6am - 6pm
- Wed 11am - 4pm
- Thu 6am - 8:30am and 5pm - 7pm
- Fri 6am - 8:30am and 1pm - 7pm
Qualifications - License/Certification:
- Current nationally recognized Pilates Reformer/Apparatus certification or specialty training/certification relevant to instruction being taught required
- Prior experience as a Pilates or similar type instructor
- Must be at least 18 years old
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Instruct clients in their workout to ensure safe, fun and motivating environment
- Acquiring intake forms at the beginning of working with a client
- Modify workout based on client limitations with safely at the forefront
- Demonstrate proper form and technique
- Work with private clientele and small group clientele on mat, reformer, cadillac, chair and barrels
- Courteous, friendly, and professional communication skills with customers and team members
- Ability to inspire and motivate clients to reach their fitness goals
- Come to session prepared to teach
- Arrive early to session to set up
- Check in and schedule clients for current and future appointments
- Ensure class equipment is available and sanitized prior to the start of class and neatly stored, sanitized and put away at the conclusion of session
- Ensure cleanliness of equipment and room while working with clients
- Passion for health and fitness
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a professional, team oriented environment
