Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgery Assistant to join our team at The Valley Health System. As an Open Heart Surgery Technician, you will be responsible for assisting cardiothoracic surgeons with instrumentation of Open-Heart surgery and preparing and managing tubing's utilized by the heart-lung (pump) machine.

Responsibilities
- Assist cardiothoracic surgeons with instrumentation of Open-Heart surgery
- Prepare and manage tubing's utilized by the heart-lung (pump) machine
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and safe procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a High School Graduate or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years scrubbing experience in a major operating room, including at least one (1) year of experience as an Open-Heart Scrub Technician. You must also hold a current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or obtain within 6 months of hire. BLS certification is also required.
