Responsibilities
Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Job Description : Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants. Supports and assists Lead Medical Technologist.
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
- Education : B.S. Degree in Medical Technology (ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88
- Experience : 3 years experience as Medical Technologist, Recent Blood Bank experience preferred.
- Technical Skills : General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities
- License / Certification : Nevada State License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist. ASCP or equivalent board registration / education required upon hire.
Note : Must obtain Nevada General Supervisor License within first 90 days.
