Lead Health Information Tech

We are seeking a Lead Health Information Tech to assist the Manager of Medical Records & Release of Information overseeing the day-to-day tasks of the Health Information Management (HIM) department. Must have recent Medical Records / Health Information experience. This role requires critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail. Will serve as a lead for the team and will not have supervisory responsibility. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm and is ON SITE at our Evergreen/Administration locat. Hiring range for the position is $19.60/hour to $26.15/hour. Pay rate is determined by applicable professional experience and qualifications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Development of standard work, and assist in creation and implementation of an HIM Tech training of new HIM Tech staff Scan prep, scan, index, audit of patient documents. Conduct daily readiness huddles. Transcription Interface Errors. Failed fax processing. Serve as administrative back up to the Manager of Medical Records & ROI: Death certificate completion assignment Timecards, supply orders, scanner maintenance HIPAA Patient Rights requests (amendments, revocations, etc.) Participation in IS Management meetings/downtime procedures as directed. A minimum of one-year health information / medical records experience required. Must have work experience with leadership responsibility, preferably in a healthcare HIM environment.
