The General Imaging Manager will assist the Associate Director of Imaging with oversight of all General Imaging operations at all locations. Responsible for managing, guiding, coaching, and evaluating the work performance of patient care staff at these sites. Demonstrates the technical competency necessary to oversee quality delivery of all modalities of general imaging services to corporate entities, health care facilities, physicians, individual patients, and state and local governmental and community bodies. Works with the team to maintain department compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Manager will work with other healthcare institutions, corporate representatives, community agencies, and outreach representatives to provide general imaging services.
Essential Duties:
Leadership and Operations Management
  • Manage the daily operations and responsibilities to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Assist in the oversight of clinical operational strategies.
  • Participate in community initiatives, including marketing, to enhance service lines.
  • Set expectation and model high-level customer focus with patients, staff and providers.
  • Set professional standard by leading in a respectful, patient- and customer-focused manner, to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, engagement, patient and staff satisfaction, and fulfillment of organizational objectives.
  • Manage areas of responsibility within budget while meeting performance objectives.
Staff Management and Development
  • Effectively staff, hire, and develop the department supervisors, leads, and other employees.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and goals, and manage performance to those goals.
  • Encourage and reinforce employee growth and development.
  • Motivate and coach direct reports and staff to produce the highest quality, efficient and cost-managed patient care. Develops his/her direct reports to manage in this way.
  • Model professional, ethical, proactive, and positive leadership.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervises Radiology, MRI, CT, PET and support staff.
  • Enforce policies with compassion to ensure each person is treated fairly, equitably and with respect.
  • Participate in interviews and selection of new employees.
  • Directs, coaches, and monitors the performance of all direct reports, to develop and maintain a high-performance team that meets organizational and department goals
  • Develop and communicate staffing schedules.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to manage multiple functional areas, and across multiple locations.
  • Ability to assess and monitor financial and operational performance, and use this to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to create and manage an operational plan, develop and manage budgets, and evaluate budget performance to achieve expectations.
  • Ability to develop and articulate goals and leadership messages designed to promote organizational strategies.
  • Ability to determine how current/future trends and legislation impact healthcare, e.g. access, patient/staff satisfaction, turnover; and to develop plans to adapt effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program.
  • Associates or Bachelor degree required.
  • Current WA State Radiology licensure and professional certification(s) in good standing.
  • Five years of general imaging experience with at least two years of supervisory or lead experience required.
Pay Range:
$105,112.00 - $157,668.00

We offer a competitive Total Rewards Program. Eligibility for benefits is dependent on factors such as position type and FTE. Benefit-eligible employees qualify for benefits beginning on the first of the month following one month of employment. Vancouver Clinic offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, long term disability, health savings account, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and multiple supplemental benefits (voluntary life, critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, legal services, etc.). We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
