What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Service Representative - Float position at The Vancouver Clinic?
Vancouver Clinic is looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our Float team! This person will greet, assist and provide excellent customer service to our patients checking in for appointments.
Location: this person will float to different locations, covering various shifts at our clinics in the greater Vancouver area. Schedules are typically posted 2-3 weeks in advance.
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) Tuesday - Saturday , varying 8 hr shifts. **schedule times can be as early as 5:30am and as late as 11:30pm** (Training hours are typically M-F 8am to 5pm). Must be flexible to work variable schedule.
Compensation: Minimum is $18.00 - $22/hour, dependent on qualifications and professional experience. Float differential of $3/hour.
Position Summary: This person must have a friendly demeanor, great attitude, and the desire to make a positive impact on our patients. Must be comfortable and able to float to different locations. Responsibilities include welcoming and greeting patients and their families, collecting co-pays, obtaining and completing insurance information, answering phones, scheduling, referrals, and other duties as assigned. If you have the ability to multitask, work well with others as part of a team, and can maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team!
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of medical front office experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required.
- Experience with Epic preferred.
- Excellent phone skills and customer service behaviors.
- Strong computer keyboarding skills required.

Pay Range:
$16.89 - $23.65

Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
