Job Title: Lower Elementary Math Interventionist
Reports to: Elementary Principal
Salaried or Hourly: Salary
FLSA Status: Exempt
Normal Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Annual Days: 196
Salary: $42,000 per year, merit pay for returning staff

Job Product: High-quality individualized math intervention instruction to qualified students with the aim of achieving mastery of content and The Vanguard School mission for those students.
General Purpose: The Lower Elementary Math Interventionist provides quality individualized instruction to eligible students in lower elementary through a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student intervention programs in consultation with special and general education staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Subject matter knowledge
• Teach up to four math classes each day
• Conduct multiple math double-dose classes each day
• Plan and implement math lessons to target math deficits using approved curriculums
• Work with general and special education staff to determine children eligible for intervention services
• Work collaboratively with homeroom teachers to increase math proficiency
• Monitor student math progress
• Plan curriculum and instruction
• Manages classroom climate and operation
• Promotes achievement
• Meets professional responsibilities
• Provide quick and consistent feedback via graded assignments
• Maintain up-to-date electronic gradebook using Infinite Campus
• Consistently implement accommodations and modifications for child on plans as specified on the plan
• Monitor up to one carline and one recess each day
Other Duties and Responsibilities: As needed or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Successfully pass the PRAXIS 5901 series within 90 days of hire
• Prior teaching experience preferred
