Secondary Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9-12)
Salary: $45,000 per year, based on qualifications.

Job Product: Student understanding of mathematics that furthers the development of character and intellect.
General Purpose: The mathematics teacher is responsible for providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to develop academic excellence, virtue, and leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach mathematics courses for grades 7-12, covering subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and other appropriate topics based on the curriculum.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with school standards.
- Assess student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the math curriculum and student learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and behavior.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other school-related activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
- Support extracurricular math-related activities, such as math clubs or competitions, if applicable.
Demonstrates subject matter knowledge:
- Basic principles and concepts related to elementary school mathematics in the areas of number sense and numeration, patterns and functions, geometry and measurement, and data analysis (with background in statistics).
- Probability and statistics.
- Algebra.
- Euclidean geometry.
- Trigonometry.
- Discrete/finite mathematics.
- History of mathematics.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated proficiency in content area either through a degree in the content area, 24-semester hours of mathematics, or a Praxis Test in the content area.
Experience:
Prior teaching experience preferred in Mathematics.
