What are the responsibilities and job description for the REPRESENTATIVE - ACCOUNTING position at The Venetian Las Vegas?
Position Overview :
The primary responsibility of the Representative - Accounting is to perform a variety of clerical accounting functions including but not limited to upload journal entries, assist with the preparation of account reconciliations, data entry, researching data variances, and preparation of reimbursement requests, and assisting with other various month end close tasks, and other related responsibilities.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Perform day-to-day activities to include calculating, verifying documents, and processing department records to support Accountants and Senior Accountants.
- Prepare weekly expense reimbursement requests from third party partners. This includes assembling the supporting documentation for the request and maintain a log of outstanding reimbursement requests.
- Assist in the maintenance and preparation of journal entry uploads into the General Ledger.
- Communicate regular status updates.
- Provide accurate, timely and usable reports to direct supervisor.
- Ensure timely, accurate completion of all assigned Blackline tasks or assignments.
- Process information according to established guidelines or procedures.
- Compile data and prepare reports or summarize results.
- Engage in mathematical calculations to determine actions to be taken or records to be affected.
- Search for and investigate information to assist in the resolution of account reconciliation variances.
- Possess skills to expedite clerical processing, evaluate information, and enter data.
