What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Venetian Soda Lounge?
Bartending with cocktail specific experience is required.
Be part of a new and fun experience, the Venetian Soda Lounge in the Soda Plant on Pine Street in Burlington.
We focus on building an immersive speakeasy experience with world-class entertainment and taste. The right candidate will help organize and maintain the high standards of the Venetian Soda Lounge.
Tuesday and Thursday availability is required and flexibility for other shifts is preferred.
Pay is base $10/hr or more with experience, plus tips.
Event catering/bartending experience preferred.
Skills and knowledge
- Bartending with cocktail specific experience is required
- Strong communication skills with staff and guests
- Understanding point of sale computer systems
- Meet regulations to sell alcoholic beverages
- Knowledge of beverage operations
- CURRENT Vermont DLC 1st class server training certificate or will obtain this PRIOR to first shift.
- Must have the ability to read and speak English
- Work evenings and flexibility for weekends
- Work in a face paced environment
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Bartending and basic food service
- Implementing drinks and food to spec
- Stocking and prepping food, beverages, and soda syrups for service
- Checking IDs
- Maintaining cleanliness standards
- Meeting health regulations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
