Kitchen Lead/Supervisor

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Kitchen Lead/Supervisor to assist our Head Chef in leading back-of-house operations. This role will be responsible for food prep, executing event menus, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and ensuring our team delivers high-quality food and service. The ideal candidate has prior kitchen experience, strong leadership skills, and a reliable, team-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef with food prep and execution of event menus (plated, buffet-style, grazing tables, etc.).
- Supervise and support the kitchen team during events, ensuring smooth service.
- Oversee food quality, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, tracking, and minimizing waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with closing duties, including proper storage, cleanup, and securing the venue at the end of events.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Chef, event coordinators, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless event execution.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff as needed to uphold operational standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience (line cook, prep cook, or supervisory role preferred).
- Ability to lead a team and keep operations running efficiently under pressure.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and waste management best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Available to work evenings and weekends based on event schedules.
