Verland is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.
Shifts available:
Full Time- 36 hours
Week 1 * 6 am - 6:30 pm: Sunday / Thursday / Friday
Week 2 * 6 am - 6:30 pm: Tuesday / Wednesday / Saturday
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of individuals under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON). This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
Registered Nurse Contributions:
- Administer and document the prescribed medications and treatments.
- Assess the physical status of individuals daily and report any unusual behavior or condition to the Charge Nurse.
- Provide emergency care (first aid) for individuals as needed.
- Perform laboratory procedures as ordered.
- Review ordered individual medications and treatments monthly.
- Document care given to individuals on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Develop and implement health care plans for assigned individuals as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and attend any staffing and ITR reviews as a contributing member of the IDT.
- Participate in and attend Nursing Department committee meetings as assigned.
- Provide feedback and be available for LPNs to consult with should a need arise.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements
- Must possess a working knowledge of professional standards and current nursing trends.
- Must have the ability to comprehend individuals’ records and physicians’ orders and to communicate information effectively.
- Must be able to establish working relationships with other members of the IDT.
- Must be able to document individuals’ care in a comprehensive manner according to professional and legal standards.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Pennsylvania Registration.
- Must have at least one year of experience in an acute care facility or related field (rehabilitation, extended care facility).
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and have all required clearances.
