What are the responsibilities and job description for the EPA Univ certified Maintenance Supervisor ASAP position at The Versailles Apartments?
We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Supervisor with either EPA universal certification or hvac certification to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as hvac repair and replacement, general plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, etc. A Maintenance Supervisor is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. This is a working position and not a desk job.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance of apartments and mechanical, hvac, electrical, and plumbing systems within and outside.
- Pick up grounds as needed to ensure cleanliness.
- Inspect and make ready for move in any apartments assigned.
- Perform various manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Clean pools and arrange pool furniture for optimum presentation and use.
- Maintaining and performing preventative maintenance.
- Lead the maintenance team and planning for pending work orders and make readies.
- Coordinate ordering of supplies as needed maintaining the budget for these items.
- Oversee the work of any vendors and/or additional maintenance staff on property as it pertains to maintenance/make readies.
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or lead maintenance tech
- Basic understanding of hvac, electrical, plumbing and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate in HVAC or EPA Universal (required), Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, fellow employees, residents and vendors.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
