The Veterinary Center of Hudson is looking to expand our team at our AAHA accredited 6 doctor hospital. We are currently looking for the right teammate that will be dedicated for the wellbeing of our clients and patients.
Full Time: 20-30 hours a week
Open availability with hours varying between 7:30am and 8:00pm Monday thru Thursdays. Fridays 7:30am to 5pm. No weekends!!
Hourly Wage: $15 to $16 an hour based on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
We strive for a Fear free friendly environment for our 4-legged furry friends. Our mission is to provide high quality veterinary care. Our ideal candidate should be hard-working and dedicated to the team. The candidate will assist with appointments by obtaining histories, TPR, perform basic laboratory diagnostic tests, friendly (Fear Free) restraint and provide nursing and comfort care with proper documentation of medical notes. Our new team member will help promote a positive atmosphere with both clients and coworkers. They will be assisting with educating the clients about their pet’s wellness, prevention, and treatment plans. They will help manage the retrieval and storage of medical records. Throughout the workday the person will also assist with laundry, cleaning and stocking the exam rooms, treatment area and lobby. The ideal candidate should be familiar with zoonotic procedures and assisting with helping reduce transmission of the disease.
Our reception duties will include knowledge of patient electronic, records, vaccine schedules and other front desk procedures. The candidate should be able to greet clients and patients in a professional and respectful manner. They will be assisting clients with scheduling patients for medical care. As a receptionist they will be able to enter client, patient, and financial data into our computer, generating invoices and providing explanations to the clients. Please be able to advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, pet health needs, treatment recommendations and all other hospital services/procedures. The idea receptionist should demonstrate the ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.
Qualifications
· Education: High School Diploma

· Must be self-motivated, ambitious, compassionate, and extremely dependable; eager to learn new skills. Our team member is to lead by example, providing quality care and customer service.
· Walks or stands for extended periods or time, frequently works in a bent position
· Ability to lift objects and animals up to 35lbs without assistance
