Overview: The View at Bluemont is a premier wedding venue nestled high in the hills of Bluemont. Our historic manor boasts spectacular panoramic views, an exquisite ballroom, and lodging for the bridal party, family, and friends. We believe our success is rooted in a diverse, hard-working team of happy people with a passion for creating remarkable moments for our guests. We are presently recruiting for our 2025 wedding season commencing March 1. Team Leads are not required to work all weddings.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Leader to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring an exceptional guest experience while managing the front-of-house operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of food service operations. As a Front of House Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing staff, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering a welcoming environment for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding customer service for wedding banquets
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Train and develop team members in all aspects of guest services,
- Maintain organization in the ballroom during weddings in leading the team to set-up, serve appetizers, salads, dinner, and dessert.
- Execute the Event Plan in collaboration with Director of Catering
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality food presentation.
- Provide proactive oversight for Servers, Bartenders and Dishwashers
Skills
- Proven experience in Food Service/Hospitality/ Wedding Industry preferred.
- Experience expediting a plus; on-the-job-training available.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations related to food handling.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing front-of-house operations and team mates
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and foster a positive work atmosphere.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
