The role of the LPN is to deliver quality assisted living services focused on maximizing residents' individual capabilities in accordance with all laws, regulation and company standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Oversees medication program including accuracy of Medication Administration Records (MARS), while providing assistance to residents and monitoring medication passes.
· Performs treatment according to physician orders.
· Charts relevant information about residents.
· Updates and informs physicians of change in resident's condition.
· Takes physician orders, transcribes new orders to medication sheet an charts appropriately.
· Orders and re-orders medications for residents from assigned pharmacies.
· Works as medication care team member or care team member.
· Assists new residents with adjustment to our Community, while building a relationship with strong communication with residents and their families.
· Follows quality assurance and infection control programs.
Supervisory Requirements:
· Assists the RN with responsibilities.
· Serves as an effective role model.
· Practices approachable teamwork style, showing firm but fair treatment of our care team.
· Exercises appropriate independent judgement.
· Remains calm in a crisis
General Requirements
· Must have LPN certification from an accredited program
· Must have active state nursing license.
