Overview
The View Hotel is a Navajo owned business located within the Navajo Nation and the Navajo Tribal park at Monument Valley. Opened in December 2008, we feature carefully designed accommodations that serve the needs of visitors from around the world while blending with the environment so as not to detract from the beauty of Monument Valley. Our three floors provide 95 rooms, each one with a private eastern facing balcony with views unlike anywhere else in world. Our top floor features StarView rooms with unforgettable views of the stars, the entirety of Monument Valley, and serves as a perfect venue for amateur night-time long exposure photography without leaving the comfort of your room.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence within our hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of hotel management, and a passion for customer service. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage resources, foster guest relations, and drive the overall success of our establishment.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations to ensure high standards of guest services and satisfaction.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and manage staff across various departments including hospitality, human resources, and guest services.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- Handle guest complaints and inquiries with professionalism to maintain strong guest relations.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Monitor industry trends to adapt strategies that meet changing market demands.
- Manage phone systems and communication tools to enhance customer service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong background in guest services with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to cater to diverse clientele.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in managing teams effectively.
- Knowledge of human resources practices as they relate to the hospitality sector.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using phone systems and other technology relevant to hotel operations.
