What are the responsibilities and job description for the Approval Coordinator position at The Viking Group?
Serve as primary document control interface between R&D engineering and the approval agencies, ensuring latest requirements from external agencies are communicated and accuracy of configuration control of product.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for EC management of lab approvals, ensuring all approval agency forms worldwide are submitted and acknowledged/approved prior to release of product.
- Administers internal document control including approval reports, patents, approval certificates, etc. Includes maintaining internal documentation with the most recent patent numbers, approval changes and additions.
- Responsible for control and maintenance of all UL follow-up-service procedures.
- Initiates and manages approval projects with UL/FM and other approval labs / entities pertaining to approval maintenance and other small projects resulting from the EC process.
- Coordinates document control pertaining to all external audits.
- Ensure external standards are maintained at latest revision levels, and that they are communicated and accessible to users.
- Serves as alternate to department purchasing function, entering Goods Receipts and issuing PO’s in the E1 system when needed.
- Optimizes process as needed for efficiency and accuracy of documentation process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of administrative work required.
- Associates degree preferred in business or IT related field.
- Exposure to standards driven industry, preferred
- Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
- Knowledge of database applications and AI tools preferred.
