Position Title: Maintenance Technician/Inventory Specialist
Overview: The Inventory specialist works closely with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and vendors to maintain accurate inventory records and optimize inventory levels to support operational efficiency. Responsible for performing minor repairs and scheduled maintenance of equipment for facility and in all areas of the community. Helps maintain preventive maintenance and records on equipment. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using inventory management software or manual logs.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points for spare parts, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with Facilities Manager to place orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure proper labeling, categorization, and shelving of inventory items for easy identification.
- Work closely with maintenance technicians and supervisors to understand inventory needs and priorities.
- Responsible for performing preventative and routine maintenance as directed
- Assist in calling vendors/outside services for estimates and ordering supplies and equipment as directed
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently in order to perform job duties
- Responsible for keeping work and storage areas neat, organized, and in compliance with state, federal, and local codes
- All staff MUST greet resident(s) and announce their presence prior to entering room
- Attend departmental education and all required in-service training/education
- Maintain confidentiality of resident/family and facility information
- Respond to all fire alarms and assist in the evacuation of residents when needed
- Represent the organization through professional demeanor and attitude
- Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff
- Perform other duties as required
You Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- General appliance repair knowledge/skills preferred
- 2-3 years in physical plant maintenance preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Working Conditions:
- The role typically operates within a maintenance shop environment, which may involve exposure to noise, heat, dust, and various hazards.
- Physical requirements may include lifting, carrying, and moving heavy inventory items up to 75 lbs.
