The MCL Fabrication Division currently seeks a 1st Shift CNC Operator responsible for operation of the CNC machine using computer-controlled machines to fabricate parts from metal or plastic. Primary duties include programming, machining materials in a timely manner for production and meeting customer specifications/requirements.

Hours: 1st Shift - Monday-Thursday, 5am – 3pm

Pay Rate: $22 - $26 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Programing first article specifications into the CNC Machine using customer drawings.

· The ability to read and follow a schedule to meet customer demands and ensure delivery on time.

· Utilizing the bill of material, to accurately select raw materials for processing.

· Delivering finished machined parts to the next operation of production in a timely fashion.

· The ability to manually machine material utilizing power tools, calipers and other measuring devices in situations when the CNC machine cannot be used.

· Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.

· Maintain specifications by observing the drilling, grooving, and cutting process. Taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting, adjusting and reprogramming controls as needed.

· Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

· Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.

Education/Training:

· Technical Degree preferred with 4 years of CNC machine operator experience

· Mechanical Background a plus

· ISO 9001 Knowledge

· Lean Manufacturing experience a plus

· Forklift certification a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Computer programing skills as it relates to CNC machinery

o SolidWorks

o Epicor(ERP)

o Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook, etc)

· Mechanical skills with the ability to accurately measure using proper tooling

· Problem solving and Continual Improvement mind set

· The ability to pay close attention to detail

Travel Requirements:

· Internal Village Companies for delivery

Physical Requirements:

· Be able to lift at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs for short periods of time

· Ability to maneuver around the CNC Machine (bending and twisting)

· Must be able to stand for several hours per day, sit, bend, and lift.

Materials and Equipment Utilized:

· CNC Machine

· Hand and Power Tools (Drills, Tape Measures, Calipers, etc.)

· Safety equipment: Safety glasses, hearing protection as required, cut resistant gloves as required and steel toes in required area. Electrostatic discharge equipment may be required in designated areas.
