REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in child development, psychology, social science, or related field required OR
Certified Nursing Assistant OR Vocational Nursing license and 2 yrs working in a fast-paced health environment assisting physicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners
- Minimum 1-year experience with DMH documentation preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Self-directed, efficient and effective in problem solving and managing multiple demands and objectives
- Excellent written, communication, assessment, triage, and crisis management skills
- Demonstrates time management skills; ability to orient, schedule, and coordinate staff
- Collaborate with DCFS and Probation for children in the child welfare system
- 2 plus years of direct experience working with children, adolescents, and families
- Experience with EHRS
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook and Internet
- Hybrid onsite in office minimum 50% of work week (subject to change at any time based on position demands).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond promptly to initial referrals; conduct screenings/triage, track/log and manage client's medication status
- Prep all agency and court documentation regarding medication authorization for psychiatry appointments; complete and submit to appropriate entities
- Schedule psychiatrists' appointments and follow-ups, maintain appointment calendar, coordinate reminder calls, enter/scan/upload appropriate information into EHRS; email weekly appointment schedule to therapists/supervisors; track no-shows/cancellations
- Assist psychiatrist in the medication appointment session
- Liaison between psychiatrist, pharmacy, court, primary care, agency programs, etc. by facilitating optimal communication between all parties; obtain/complete documentation
- Consult with team members and take necessary steps to address mental health, social, emotional, and medication needs of clients by bridging communication between team members, psychiatrist, client, and family involved in treatment
- Complete lab request forms as needed in a timely manner
- Input documentation into EHRS with a quality of documentation that meets or exceeds The Village Family Services, county, state and federal standards
- Collaborate with the agency's treatment team to support coordination and continuum of integrated care between all professional and community agencies
- Provide linkage to resources and advocate on client's behalf for services to stabilize and promote improved functioning
- Attend case conference/case planning meetings as required or necessary to ensure coordination of care.
- Attend staff development and general staff meetings
- Maintain client confidentiality as per agency standards
- Assist with Medi-Cal eligibility checks and follow up as needed
- Conduct all functions in accordance with Agency guidelines, policies and procedures
- Comply with applicable professional licensing or certification requirements and ethics
- Arrange work schedule or required hours to the benefit of the program
- Perform other duties necessary or in the best interest of the agency as assigned

Salary Range: $23.82/hr-$37.00/hr
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Part-Time
