Starting Salary: $120,000
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing strong leadership within the agency, oversight of multiple programs, representing the agency in the community, and helping to position the agency for continued growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and management
- Ensure all staff in receive supervision, including evaluation and implementation of plans to address any performance concerns
- Responsible for hiring, training and performance management of staff.
- Works as a team member with other clinical and administrative staff to respond to client and programmatic needs, including the implementation of agency policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Actively participate in seeking and implementing new opportunities for agency growth.
Program strategy, grow and performance
- Manage, improve and build performance of community and school based programs
- Monitor program standards in accordance with Joint Commission and regulatory compliance
- Responsible for overall service planning process for clients and families utilizing a trauma-informed and wraparound approach to services
Data analysis, utilization and quality assurance
- Collaborate with other Village programs to enhance the quality and coordination of services
- Demonstrate and implement Results Based Accountability processes
External role representing the Village in key Community initiatives
- Serve as member of agency leadership group and lead cross-functional teams focusing on achieving agency priorities
- Work with Department of Children and Families, school districts and other community partners to establish cooperative relationships
- Serve in an advocacy capacity for agency priorities.
- Represent the agency externally with other providers, community organizations, legislative and political leaders, funding sources, schools, etc.
Program financials/budgets
- Monitor budget performance of programs with specific attention to census
- Timely completion of required billing and funder reports
Experience and Skills:
EDUCATION
- Master’s degree in Human Services.
EXPERIENCE
- 10 years experience in management roles
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse community agencies and programs.
- Supervisory and managerial skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Cultural competency to work with diverse client population.
- Experience implementing community support programs for families, financial literacy, fatherhood initiatives, programs in Hartford and east of the river.
- Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet applications. Possess solid computer skills.
- Familiarity with specific applications used by the Village a plus.
- Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations, including ability to supervise groups of children
