Upward Mobility-Program Manager
The Program Supervisor oversees a team comprised of two types of coaches who provide long-term, individualized sessions to residents in the Greater Hartford area aimed at building self-sufficiency and economic mobility. One team provides personal empowerment coaching and one team provides financial literacy coaching. The supervisor ensures program fidelity through staff training, coaching models, including assessments and goal writing, as well as data collection. Additionally, this position coordinates the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Ongoing community involvement through program presentations and educational events will be fostered and expanded. The Program Supervisor remains aware of grant deliverables and ensures their fulfillment and presents these outcomes in required reporting.
Provides leadership and responsible for the overall operations and leadership of program. Works with a range of stakeholders and funders to ensure program goals are achieved and the timely submission of reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans for and ensures the delivery of all required services to each client in the program.
- Works closely with collateral agencies to ensure appropriate transition and discharge planning for clients and/or students.
- Works closely with program staff and other stakeholders to ensure the continuity of services.
- Serves as operational administrator of the program, which includes functions such as business leadership, facilities/grounds management, etc.
- Attends all relevant trainings and planning meetings.
- Provides culturally competent services to all clients and families.
- Participates in regular program meetings.
- Provides supervision to all staff within program, if required by program.
- Ensures documentation as required is entered into the data system in a timely fashion.
- Ensures that the program census is maintained.
- Works as part of a larger multidisciplinary team to respond to client and programmatic needs and with the agency at large.
Experience and Skills:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required.
EXPERIENCE
- Licensure: Relevant licensure as required by programmatic needs.
- Must have 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively.
- Conflict resolution, risk management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, proven teamwork and motivational skills.
- Proven ability to manage stress and respond to emergency situations safely and calmly, excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Must have a thorough understanding of client needs (behavioral, social, emotional).
- Must be culturally competent to serve our population.
- Must possess solid general computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
