Job Overview
We are seeking someone with experience in social media/marketing to join our fun family owned business at The Village Jeweler. The Position will be focusing more on handling the stores social media and some marketing, with also some support and sales thrown in as well. While the role will not be working every weekend, some weekend days are required for availability.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Create engaging content, including graphics and photography, that aligns with our brand voice and marketing goals.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, audience engagement, and feedback using tools like Hootsuite and Google Analytics.
- Conduct social listening to understand audience sentiment and identify opportunities for engagement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns and promotions through effective relationship management with followers.
- Help maintain the content calendar to ensure timely posting of updates.
- Analyze performance metrics of social media posts and provide insights for improvement.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Illustrator) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of photography and graphic design principles.
- Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite.
- Strong understanding of web-based platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing priorities.
