We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can assist customers in a friendly, courteous, and conscientious manner. Individuals must enjoy a fast pace and positive atmosphere. Experience preferred, however we will train on the job.
Job Duties include:
- Cheerfully greet customers and ascertain customers wants or needs
- Compute sales prices, total purchases and receive and process cash or credit cards
- Confer with customers by phone or in person to provide information about goods and services and take orders.
- Show up at the proper time for your shift, assist with opening and closing of the store.
- Communicate with kitchen staff about product availability
- Restock merchandise, rotate stock to ensure quality and check in vendor deliveries as necessary.
- Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise based on customer needs
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service
- Clean and maintain an orderly work area
This position requires the individual to be able to work at any time during a 7-day week. The individual must have availability to work our summer schedule from 6am to 10pm. The individual may be asked to perform other duties as needed for the operation of The Village Market.
