Are you a creative and compassionate leader with a passion for improving the quality of life for seniors? We are seeking a Life Enrichment Director to inspire, engage, and enhance the daily experiences of our residents.
About the Role
As the Life Enrichment Director, you’ll develop and lead programs that nurture the cognitive, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our residents. You’ll work closely with staff and volunteers to design engaging activities that promote wellness, connection, and joy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and implement meaningful activities, events, and interventions for residents on both group and one-on-one levels.
- Develop programs that include music therapy, memory care activities, wellness workshops, and spiritual enrichment.
- Manage activity staff schedules and coordinate volunteer staffing.
- Administer the monthly activity calendar and ensure it aligns with resident preferences and state requirements.
- Conduct activity assessments, participate in care planning, and complete necessary documentation such as Minimum Data Set (MDS) questions.
- Organize recreational activities to foster resident engagement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Actively communicate department activities and updates to staff and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree preferred. Completion of an accredited training program approved by the state is a plus.
- Two years of experience in social services, creative activities, or senior care preferred.
- A minimum of one year of leadership or management experience preferred.
- Background in music, education, therapy, or developing wellness programs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of working with diverse resident demographics, including behavioral challenges.
- Eligibility for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional by a recognized accrediting body.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification or enrollment in a healthcare-related program is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements per location policy.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $28.00 per hour
