What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Intern position at the Village of Oak Park?
The Village of Oak Park has openings for the 2025 Summer Seasonal Student Employment. There are two openings for our engineering internship. This internship will provide students with real-life experience in the daily tasks of a field Civil Engineer. It is an opportunity for students to apply classroom learning in the field. During the internship, interns will be instructed and supervised by experienced civil engineers. Interns will become familiar with basic concepts of fieldwork required with various projects including sidewalk inspection, data collection and entry and other engineering related work.

A resume may be submitted with the application. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a background investigation. Dates will be June through August. Hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The hourly rate for this position is $17.50/hr. with a maximum of 500 hours. A valid driver’s license is required.
