The Village is seeking to add to our talent pool a new DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS.

The starting pay range for this position is $115,167.31 - $143,350.06 depending upon qualifications and experience. The full range is $115,167.31 — $169,770.43.

This position reports directly to the Village Manager. Primary responsibilities are the daily operations and administration of the information systems department. The Director has oversight of implementation, integration and maintenance of all software platforms both internally and with all business partners. With a staff of four professionals the department is responsible for the security of all Village information systems, compliance with any state and/or federal regulations, maintenance and upgrade of all computer systems, audio/video and web configuration as well as assisting all departments with troubleshooting training and software assessment.

This position participates in strategic planning and has responsibility for oversight and submittal of all information system capital improvement project work, budget preparation, bid proposal preparation and review.

This position reports to Village Hall with a typical work schedule being Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a one hour lunch break. On occasion this schedule requires weekend or evening hours for special events meetings or emergency events that will be outside of the daily routine schedule. The position is part of the emergency management team and must be available during declared events to report to work. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable with our culture of mutual respect team work and open door.

Candidates must be independent thinkers who able to wear many hats and manage multiple work projects. The role of IS Director requires a BA or BS from an accredited college/university in Information Systems Information Technology, Computer Programming, Computer Science or a closely related field and the ability to get certifications in emergency management/ICS.
