Description
The Village School of Naples is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Middle School Music Teacher with expertise in strings and percussion. This position is an exciting opportunity to inspire young musicians and cultivate a love for music while fostering creativity, collaboration, and skill development. (This position is for the 2025-2026 School year.)
- Develop and deliver engaging music lessons focused on strings and percussion instruments for middle school students.
- Teach fundamental and advanced instrumental techniques, music theory, and ensemble performance skills.
- Direct and conduct middle school string ensembles and percussion groups in rehearsals and performances.
- Plan and organize school concerts, recitals, and other musical events.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical potential.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including beginners and advanced students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and upcoming events.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments and participation.
- Support the mission and vision of The Village School, modeling Christ Skills and values in all areas of teaching and professional conduct.
