Job Title: Technician III

Work Schedule: M-F, 8 hours per day (weekends when required)

Pay Rate: $35 - $43 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:
The Technician III is an advanced-level position responsible for providing expert support within the Public Works Department at The Villages Golf and Country Club. This role oversees and performs a wide range of complex maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment, and systems, ensuring the community's operations run smoothly. Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance & Operations, the Technician III is a key contributor to the maintenance efforts within the department.

FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Lead and supervise complex maintenance projects, including planning, execution, and oversight.
- Perform advanced maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment, and systems within the Public Works Department.
- Operate and maintain specialized maintenance tools and equipment.
- Train and mentor junior team members in advanced maintenance techniques.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance plans, strategies, and budgets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
- Follow safety guidelines and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the Director of Maintenance & Operations in departmental initiatives.
- Participate in training and skill development opportunities.
- The ability to perform routine maintenance repairs. (Carpentry, Plumbing, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field is required.
- Advanced proficiency in maintenance techniques and practices.
- Expertise in operating and maintaining specialized maintenance tools andequipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Physical fitness and stamina for manual labor and lifting.
- Team player with the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality maintenance work.
- Interest in continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- The ability to climb ladders over 6 feet tall, enter crawl spaces, and safelynegotiate pitched roofs.
- Stamina for physical tasks and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time.
Salary : $35 - $43
