2025-26 Preschool Teacher at Buffalo Ridge and Middleton

Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True", this position is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere in which students will move toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth and maturation in accordance with philosophy, goals, and objectives aligned in early literacy and the Florida Early Learning Standards all provided in developmentally appropriate practice (DAP). These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Salary commensurate with experience, starting at $17.00 per hour. Higher starting pay would be based on credentials and experience. Position will begin on July 28, 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral form with students, parents, and others.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment that stimulates academic, moral, and social growth for children aged 12 months to 5 years.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation.
• Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Assist students in learning to accept responsibility, demonstrate respect for people and property, and demonstrate self-discipline.
• Implement a variety of developmentally appropriate instructional techniques to meet varying learning styles to help all students reach the FL Early Learning Standards set for their age.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Evaluate student progress on a regular basis, also the academic and social growth of pupils.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment for students.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Follow all DCF rules and regulations as required.
• Follow TVECC policies and procedures as required.
• Perform such other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preschool Teacher credentials required- Staff credential/formal education/CDA/FCCAP Must be on DCF Transcript
• DCF 45 hours required- Proof on DCF transcript
• Experience teaching in an early childhood setting.
• Prompt and regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
